Rotarians Combat Typhoid Outbreak

The news was bad.  Days prior to the scheduled Safe Water Station deployment in Nacodreudreu Village, typhoid broke out. The planned deployment was cancelled by the Fiji Ministry of Health. Savusavu Rotarians had the means to fight the typhoid outbreak but they couldn’t go. Or could they? The groups came up with a plan to deploy Safe Water Stations to Nacodreudreu and keep the Rotarian volunteers safe. The Rotarians doused themselves with insect repellent, drank only filtered water, and rolled out Safe Water Stations to 46 homes.
